Pedro Gutiérrez was instrumental in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Bakersfield Nobles. The left fielder went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bloomington Longnecks. Shawn Stevenson earned the save, his 4th. Bloomington now sits in third place in the Premier AAA at 39-30.

Bernalldo Corunha was a prime factor in the win for the Longnecks. In the bottom of the fourth with two out, the 25-year old shortstop hit a 2-run single. He was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Gutiérrez.
