Late Rally by Longnecks Secures Win
The Longnecks had to overcome a good performance from Bakersfield pitcher Elton Coalan to claim a 4-3 win at Lookouts Ballpark. Coalan went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Bloomington reliever John Walton picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Sam Mooney was collared with the loss. With the victory, the Longnecks record now stands at 38-29.

John Schaefer was the walk-off hero for Bloomington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Longnecks designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Schaefer told the Bloomington Today.
