Victory Pushes Patriots Record to 29-19
|
The Boston Patriots picked up a win at Beyond the Wall, knocking off the Buffalo White Walkers, 5-1. Starting pitcher Firpo Marberry, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Boston reliever Firpo Marberry got the win, raising his record to 8-0. Dave Dunn was tagged with the loss. The Patriots now have a record of 29-19.
Boston relied on the bat of Brevyn Spann-Ford to get the win. The second baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Patriots ahead, 2-0. For the game, Spann-Ford had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We did a lot of things right," said Spann-Ford.
