Big Day by Vongor Ignites Starks Win
Benefiting from Atanza Vongor's productive game, the Syracuse Starks downed the Bloomington Longnecks, 7-5. Vongor went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Starks. Syracuse reliever Jeffery Brock picked up the win to move to 2-2. Salvador Sagastizabal suffered the loss. The 9th-place Starks now have a win-loss record of 24-34.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Graeme Dormer came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Bloomington pitcher Salvador Sagastizabal, he hit a first pitch forkball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Syracuse on top, 7-5.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Vongor said after the game.
