The Evergreens had to overcome a fine performance from Hollywood pitcher Matthew Fallows to grab a 4-3 win at Evergreen Park. Fallows allowed 2 earned runs over 6 innings. Portland reliever Ron Mingo was credited with the win, to go to 5-0. Brantford Winstworth III took the loss for Hollywood. With the win, Portland has a record of 21-26. Hollywood falls to 28-19.

Portland took a 4-3 lead on Leonid Machehin's 11th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Machehin hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Hollywood pitcher Brantford Winstworth III visibly frustrated.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Machehin told the Portland Observer.
