|
Syracuse Starks starter Dave McAlear was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Port Royal Disaster, 4-1. Austin Bizzle, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. With the win, Syracuse goes to 22-27, while the Disaster fall to 25-24.
Syracuse used the timely hitting of Beco Bnard to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Starks on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Bnard said.
