Warriors Get Road Win, 6-5
|
The Forest City Warriors did just enough to secure a 6-5 victory over the Bloomington Longnecks at Lookouts Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Clarence Miller, who captured player of the game honors. Miller picked up the win for Forest City, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Mamadou Boutin nailed down his 10th save.
Sigi Lang helped out the Forest City cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Lang told the Forest City Bulletin.
Forest City's record now stands at 28-20, placing them second in the Premier AAA.
