The Hollywood Shredders got a magnificent performance from pitcher Tony Alfonso, who stifled the Portland offense en route to a 1-0 Shredders win at Evergreen Park. Cullen Taylor nailed down his 17th save. Hollywood is 28-18 and Portland, with the loss, 20-26.

Portland had little success against Alfonso and his cutter. Alfonso tossed 104 pitches over 8 innings for the Shredders.

Alfonso told a Hollywood Chronicle reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
