Whales Roll to 8-3 Win Over Thunder Hawks
|
Whales third baseman Pat Geldart put his stamp on his team's 8-3 win over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Geldart went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Virginia Beach in the contest. The 5th-place Whales lifted their record to 10-12.
Esteban Sifuentes, who is tied for 4th in the SAA with a .628 slugging percentage, helped out the Virginia Beach cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"We'll savor this win," Sifuentes told the Virginia Beach Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
