Warriors Deal Redlegs 8-3 Setback
|
Forest City center fielder Esteban Piñeiro played a vital role in his team's 8-3 triumph over Sacramento. He went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for Forest City. Sakutaro Ohayashi picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Korbin Dallas was tagged with the loss. Mamadou Boutin earned the save, his 7th, for the Warriors.
Bob Giles helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 4-0, Warriors.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Piñeiro.
With the win over Sacramento, the Warriors improved to 24-14.
