Bronze Sox Slip Past Port Royal, 3-2

The Texas Bronze Sox eked out a 3-2 win versus the Port Royal Disaster at Bronze Sox Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Armando Garay, who captured player of the game honors. Picking up the save was Maverick McNealy, his 9th. With the win, Texas goes to 15-22, while the Disaster fall to 19-18.
Had Mitsuhide Bando not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Bando hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bronze Sox.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Bando told the Texas Citizen.
