Texas second baseman Craig Greene made his presence felt in the 7-2 Bronze Sox triumph over the Syracuse Starks. Greene was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Kliment Spirk closed the game out for Texas, earning his 1st save. With the win over Syracuse, the Bronze Sox improved to 12-20.
Greene contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Texas in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Greene took a fastball from Goodluck Obasanjo and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Bronze Sox to leap in front, 3-2.
"We'll savor this win," Greene told the Texas Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
