The Jersey City Tritons and Sacramento Redlegs provided some drama at Jersey City Grounds.

The Sacramento Redlegs picked up a win at Jersey City Grounds, knocking off the Jersey City Tritons, 3-2. On the mound for Sacramento was right-hander Tim Owens, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sacramento reliever Hwen-thiang Goei picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-2. Tom Lee was collared with the loss. Larry Benítez closed it out for his 5th save.

Lautaro Lacasa made it 3-2, Sacramento, in the top of the ninth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Redlegs win.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Jersey City manager John McGrath. "But we decided not to take it."

The 6th-place Redlegs raised their record to 14-17.
