Warriors Fall Short, 6-5, at Baton Rouge
|
The Baton Rouge Brass defeated the Forest City Warriors, 6-5, at Brass Field today. Leading the charge for Baton Rouge was third baseman Luis García. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Juichi Kanno got the save, the 6th for him this season. The Brass bumped their record to 17-13 with this latest triumph.
Baton Rouge took a 6-2 lead on García's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Thomas Careless in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Baton Rouge to the win.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Baton Rouge manager José Reyes.
