The Syracuse Starks bested the Jersey City Tritons, 11-7, at Stark Stadium. Nelson Rivera was named player of the game. He was 4-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Greg O'Day earned the win for Syracuse. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 5 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 2-4. Greyfriars Bobby got the save, the 1st for him this season.
