Port Royal and Bloomington duked it out at Lookouts Ballpark and the Disaster came out victorious.
Port Royal Disaster starter Dan Bond turned in an exceptional performance against the Bloomington Longnecks at Lookouts Ballpark, resulting in a Port Royal win, 5-2. Bond picked up the win for Port Royal, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Juan Delgado recorded his 4th save for Port Royal.
Port Royal used the timely hitting of Sean Roberts to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Disaster ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Bond.
Port Royal, at 15-13, sits in 4th place in the Premier AAA.
