Tim Walker pitched well, but his team, the Cleveland Browns, still dropped a 2-0 decision to the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Factory of Sadness. Northern Virginia reliever Jerry Kumpf picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tim Walker absorbed the loss. Yoriyoshi Sugimoto closed it out for his 2nd save.

Northern Virginia used the timely hitting of Phil McCroskey to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Cleveland skipper Greg Diersing, "and it cost us."

The loss drops Cleveland to 1-4.
