Starks Top Disaster, 5-2

Syracuse played host to Port Royal at the friendly confines of Stark Stadium.
With right fielder Mare Riseley leading the charge, the Syracuse Starks defeated the Port Royal Disaster, 5-2, at Stark Stadium. Riseley, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in doubles with 6, went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The save was credited to Tony Wolfe, his 3rd.
Riseley contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Syracuse in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Riseley took a fastball from José Blanco and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Starks to leap in front, 2-1.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Starks manager Martin Stewart. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
The Starks now have a record of 6-16 with the win over Port Royal.
