Northville Eclipse starter Edwin Meadows turned in an exceptional performance against the St. Petersburg Thunder at Old-Timers Park, resulting in a Northville win, 2-1. Erik Jackson recorded the save for Northville, his 2nd of the season. Losses have been few and far between for the Thunder so far this season. Their record drops to 6-3.

Had Chris Owen not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Owen hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Eclipse.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Northville manager Thomas Kemp.
