Bronze Sox Lose, 3-2, at Lookouts Ballpark

The Bloomington Longnecks topped the Texas Bronze Sox, 3-2, in USPL Triple A action at Lookouts Ballpark. The player of the game was Bloomington pitcher Steve Gourin. The winning pitcher was Gourin, now 2-1. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 9. The Longnecks keep rolling, raising their record to 11-6.
Yosuke Daisen dealt the Bronze Sox a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Bloomington leading 1-0, Daisen, who leads the PAAA in extra base hits with 8, hit a 0-1 forkball for a run-scoring single.
In comments to the Bloomington Today, Gourin admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
