Finley 3-4, Longnecks Move to 10-6
|
The Bloomington Longnecks bested the Texas Bronze Sox, 8-2, at Lookouts Ballpark. Oscar Finley was named player of the game. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Longnecks raised their record to 10-6.
Finley came through with some timely hitting for Bloomington. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth and two down, Finley hit a 1-2 fastball for a bases-clearing double. His 2nd double of the season made it 5-2, Bloomington.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Finley.
