Seung-soo Ch'ae made an impact in the 7-6 Port Royal win over Baton Rouge. Ch'ae went 3-3 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Port Royal reliever Rodrigo Delvalle was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Tracy Cowdin took the loss. José Díaz recorded his 1st save for Port Royal.
Jaime Espinar's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Juichi Kanno for a run-scoring single. It put Port Royal in front, 7-6.
"It feels good to get this one," Ch'ae told the Port Royal Citizen.
The win gives the Disaster a record of 7-5.
