Browns Prevail, 3-1, Over Boston
|
Cleveland starter Javier Ariza pitched effectively against the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Cleveland, at 15-26, occupies 9th place in the Premier League.
Cleveland used the timely hitting of Danny Rodríguez to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Browns on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Cleveland manager Greg Diersing.
