Mahabir Now 1-0 After Subduing Warriors
|
The Texas Bronze Sox racked up a win at Bronze Sox Park, bumping off the Forest City Warriors, 3-0. Jay Mahabir, who started for Texas, pitched effectively for his team. The Bronze Sox have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 2nd win in 7 games.
Mahabir was in the zone all game. He frustrated Forest City hitters while giving the Bronze Sox 8 innings of quality work. Mahabir threw 98 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 6 punchouts.
"Jay did a tremendous job," said Texas manager Wynn Burton.
