Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Colton Pennington, the Milton Dogfish Head defeated the Hartford Pride, 8-6. Pennington went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Dogfish Head. Sergio Tacuri notched his 13th save in 16 chances. The Dogfish Head sit in 11th place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 41-56.
Milton took a 8-6 lead on John Mayer's 37th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Mayer hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Hartford pitcher Tony Ramírez shaking his head.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Hartford manager William Smith. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
