Red Pandas Bang Out 6-1 Win Versus Monongahela
|
Sioux Falls Red Pandas starter Pete Rhue was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Monongahela Monsters, 6-1. The winning pitcher was Rhue, now 4-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. The 8th-place Monsters have dropped 5 straight games.
Sioux Falls used a timely hit from Manuel Guillama to get the win. The designated hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put the Red Pandas on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"The vibe's good," said Sioux Falls manager Willis Crawford. "We've got to keep it going."
