Late Rally by Black Mambas Secures Win

The Calgary Lynx got a superb performance from pitcher José García, but the Austin Black Mambas still won the game, 3-1. García was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of shutout ball. Bobby Roode earned the save, his 20th, for the Black Mambas. Austin bumps their record to 48-38 with the win.
Had Parker Truesdale not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Truesdale hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Black Mambas.
"We take it day by day here," said Truesdale, "and today was a good one for us."
