Pennington Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Milton in Walk-Off Win
|
The Milton Dogfish Head handed the Austin Black Mambas a loss at Milton Corner Tavern. The final score was 8-6. Colton Pennington was named player of the game for Milton. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. He also added 3 bases on balls. The winner was Milton reliever Sergio Tacuri, now 2-2. The loser was Bobby Roode. With the win over Austin, the Dogfish Head improved to 36-48.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Pennington hit a fastball from Bobby Roode for a 2-run home run. The Dogfish Head, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
Pennington said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
