Fighting Dachsunds Saddle Monsters with 4-1 Loss

It was a good time at Dog Park in Ellenburg, where fans came to watch the Monongahela Monsters and Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds get after it.
Ellenburg right-hander Pedro Huerta made an effective start against the Monongahela Monsters at Dog Park in Ellenburg, leading his team to a 4-1 win. In 8 innings, Huerta surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Tim Sandaele got the save, the 8th for him this season.
Tied up with the Monsters in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Fighting Dachsunds got a boost from catcher Miguel Montés. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Montés saw a 2-0 changeup from Gertjan van Hulst and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Ellenburg on top, 2-1.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Huerta said.
Ellenburg has a 3-game win streak, while Monongahela has lost 3 in a row.
