Reserves Get One-Run Win at Salt Lake City
|
Athletic Club KC pitcher Kyuso Ageda did his part in helping his team beat the Salt Lake City Buzz, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Ageda, now 2-5. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Lucas Thomas sewed up the save, his 7th.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and one out in the top of the fourth inning. That's when right fielder Thomas Nealy, who is tied for 9th in the 3AAA in total bases with 116, drew a walk. The Reserves went on to win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Nealy told the Athletic Club KC Today.
The Reserves move to 30-36 with the win, while the Buzz drop to 40-26.
