Hamilton and Austin duked it out at Mamba Park and the Coyotes came out victorious.
Coyotes first baseman Rey McSriff put his stamp on his team's 4-3 win over the Austin Black Mambas. McSriff went 2 for 4 with a home run for Hamilton in the contest. Even with the win, the Coyotes have a dismal 17-39 record.
Hamilton used the timely hitting of Dylan Oram to capture the win. The shortstop socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Coyotes ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Coyotes manager Steven Hodnett. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
