Buzz Get Road Win, 3-1
|
Salt Lake City turned a good effort from starter John Núñes into a win over the Monongahela Monsters at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The final score was 3-1. Bumper Pool picked up the save, his 5th. The 8th-place Monsters have lost 4 straight games.
Salt Lake City used the timely hitting of Falco Opsteegh to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Buzz on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Núñes.
