O'Neal, Dogfish Head Beat Red Pandas, 10-7
|
Lawrence O'Neal helped his team muscle past the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 10-7. In the game, the Milton first baseman was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Milton reliever De Dion-Bouton was credited with the win, to go to 1-2. Natalino Golaio took the loss for Sioux Falls. Picking up the save was Sergio Tacuri, his 4th.
Had Christian Cole not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Cole hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Dogfish Head.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said O'Neal. "And not try to do too much."
Even with the win, the Dogfish Head have a dismal 17-32 record.
