Fighting Dachsunds Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds overcame a good performance by Sioux Falls center fielder Dylan Carson to knock off Sioux Falls, 6-4, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Carson was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Ellenburg reliever Riley Evans picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Natalino Golaio shouldered the loss. Ellenburg has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
Tony Worley made an early impact for Ellenburg when he stroked his 1st triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which came with two out in the bottom of the second, put the Fighting Dachsunds on top, 4-0.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Ellenburg manager Jason Stewart.
