Coyotes Bridle Monsters, 4-2
|
The Monongahela Monsters got a sterling performance from designated hitter Roger Dorn, but the Coyotes still prevailed, 4-2. Dorn was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs. The winner was Juan Ramírez, who threw 103 pitches over 5.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 5 hits. Jack Salt was credited with the save for Hamilton, his 3rd of the season.
Making an impact for the home team was Rey McSriff. In the bottom of the fifth, the 30-year old first baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Coyotes.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Hamilton manager Steven Hodnett.
Hamilton's record now stands at 10-20, placing them 11th in the Menard's AAA.
