The Milton Dogfish Head beat the Austin Black Mambas, 6-2, at Mamba Park. The Dogfish Head got a fine performance from second baseman Tyler Marés, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The loss drops Austin to 10-9.
Milton used the timely hitting of Arnie Taylor to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dogfish Head ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.
