White Walkers Come Up Short at Boston
|
Max Bortenschlager did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Buffalo White Walkers from losing, 5-4, to the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park. Bortenschlager went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Firpo Marberry picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Christiaan Volkers was tagged with the loss. Boston is now 18-9, while Buffalo is 21-6.
Juan Andrés Martí, who leads the PL in stolen bases with 13, chipped in for Boston with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Martí said after the game.
