Pride Get One-Run Win at Salt Lake City
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz inaugurated their 2041 season with a tough 4-3 loss to the Hartford Pride at Spirits Stadium. Catcher Reynaldo Torres was named player of the game for Hartford.
Hartford used the bat of César Gómes to capture the win. The right fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Pride ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Gómes told the Hartford Today.
