Outlaws Topple Dirty Reds with Late Rally
|
Nashville starter Ralph Minor had a strong outing against the San Mateo Dirty Reds at Lang Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Shinzo Kumagai, credited with the win, is now 3-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Mark Zaugg was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 20 save opportunities.
Nashville used the timely hitting of Bob Hill to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Outlaws ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Hill.
Today's win puts Nashville at 43-61, while San Mateo falls to 44-60.
