Fans who gathered at Nashville Stadium saw a good contest between the D.C. Divided and Nashville Outlaws.
The D.C. Divided defeated the Nashville Outlaws, 6-4. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Javier Sierra, who went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. D.C. reliever José Quiñones picked up the win to move to 4-4. Ricardo Ruíz suffered the loss. Sidney Crosbie, credited with the save, is now 18 for 19 in save opportunities.
Layton Arntsen, the 21st overall pick in the 2036 draft, helped out the D.C. cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the catcher went 1-4 with a double.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Ryan Naylor. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
Nashville, at 37-57, has lost 6 straight.
