Season Possibly Over for Luis Martínez Friday, July 27th, 2040 Canonniers de Quebec starting pitcher Luis Martínez could miss the remainder of the season because of a sore shoulder. He exited yesterday's Watford City game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Martínez would be out 5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." Looking at his season stats, Martínez has won 8 and lost 1, collecting 122 strikeouts and 23 walks in 78 innings with a 1.50 ERA. |
