Domingo Galló of the Amarillo Warheads was in command and couldn't do much wrong when he was on the mound this season. His outstanding 8-2 won-lost mark and 1.56 ERA were big factors in his winning the 2040 USSL Rookie Pitcher of the Year Award.

In 115.1 innings of work and 18 starts, Galló struck out 91 while giving up 90 hits and 22 walks. He held opposing batters to a .212 average.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10. Pedro Rodríguez of the Franklin Fire finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Greg Ayala of the Valley View Cougars finished third.
