Beavers Captures Wild Card Friday, September 7th, 2040 The Ballard Beavers have thrilled their fan base by securing a late-season wild card berth. The team's playoff future was certainly not a foregone conclusion, as the Beavers battled to find a place in the postseason. "We never lost faith, I think that's key," said starting pitcher Leo Madaev. "Even when things got rough, people in our clubhouse believed we were going to win." With their record sitting at 58-38, the Beavers will try to build on their success to win the 1st USSL Rookie championship in team history. |
