Dowiyogo Goes 5-for-7
Sunday, August 12th, 2040
It was high-fives all around for Bernard Dowiyogo at Dylan Park today.
He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Quebec City Baby Blues. Dowiyogo smashed 5 hits in 7 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 9-6 win.
"Bernard was hitting everything," said Octopi manager Luis Muñóz. "It really was a special game for him."
In the opposing dugout, Baby Blues manager Tony Romero told BNN beat writers that Dowiyogo "ambushed" the club.
"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Dowiyogo oversleeps next time."
Bernard Dowiyogo flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit a three-run home run off Bill Gould in the 12th.
Dowiyogo is batting .332 this year with 7 home runs, 53 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 277 at-bats.
