Pueblo Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, July 28th, 2040 The number just keeps getting higher. Franklin center fielder Emílio Pueblo has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Franklin took the 5-2 win over the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Ellesmere Island manager Hartmann Riedman said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Emílio Pueblo singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th and hit an RBI triple in the 7th. In the current season, Pueblo has put up a .391 batting average with 59 hits, 2 home runs, 15 RBI and scored 26 runs. |
