Year Over for Lead Sox Copeland
Friday, June 22nd, 2040
The season is finished for Kent Copeland of the Indiana Lead Sox. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Lead Sox starting pitcher suffered bone chips in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Crowley Cajuns. Team doctors said it would take at least 6-7 months to heal.

This year Copeland has worked 44.1 innings with 36 strikeouts en route to a 2-2 record and a 3.65 ERA.
