League Gives Maddox Suspension Monday, August 20th, 2040 David Maddox was incensed today after he was suspended by the commissioner's office for 3 games following a wild argument at the Memphis-Fort Knox game. The league cited the Music shortstop for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," in the notification letter. Maddox strongly objected to a questionable call by the home plate umpire and was ejected. "Ejection? Maybe. But not suspension. It's ludicrous is what it is. It's totally uncalled for. I have no idea why. You have to ask the people in the league office that wear the coats and ties and don't get on the field. I didn't cause the altercation, the umpire did. It was a lousy call." So far this year Maddox has hit .191 with 7 home runs, 34 RBIs and 24 runs scored. |
