Virginia-Ithaca Brawl, Matthews and Cruz Suspended Tuesday, May 22nd, 2040 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Virginia-Ithaca contest at Palladium Labs. The Palladium Sox Tom Matthews and the Fighting Imps Alberto Cruz will have to sit out 5 and 3 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Looking at his stats this year, Matthews has compiled a .179 batting average, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 5 runs. He has played in 13 games and scored 6 runs. For the year, Cruz has collected no saves in 7 relief appearances. He has also rung up 11 strikeouts and 5 walks in 15.1 innings while registering a 5.28 ERA and a 0-1 won-lost mark. |
