Great Stroke: Hook Gets 5 Hits
Sunday, July 1st, 2040
It was a good day for the Love Boats at The Ogre Den as they clipped the Olympia Ogres, 14-3. It was tremendous day for Kian Hook, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6.
"I don't know what to call that," the Lake Minnetonka second baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well."
Kian Hook singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
Hook is batting .345 this season in 40 games with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He has 58 hits in 168 at-bats.
