Irving Loses Greg Poe for Season Wednesday, September 5th, 2040 The doctors have spoken and Greg Poe of the Irving Blue Sox didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Poe sustained his season-ending injury during the Minnesota Loons game yesterday at Loony Bin. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Irving medical staff reported Poe had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months. To date this year in 22 starts, Poe has crafted a 6-11 mark with a 4.75 ERA. |
